Aprilaire Model A51 110 Volt Current Sensing Relay

Some humidifier are installation with a 110 volt Current Sensing Relay. This relay allows set up the humidifier to run only when the furnace blower is running. This eliminates the need for a sail switch or more complex wiring. Sometimes I use this to power the 110 volt outlet that the Aprilaire humidifier plugs into. The relay attaches around the white common/neutral lead of your furnace blower motor. When the blower comes on it senses there is current and turns your humidifier on by using the high voltage 110 volt wiring. When it senses the current from the blower motor it allows high voltage current to flow through its two wires. It is easy to install and comes with complete wiring directions and instructions.
