One accessory that I use on many of my humidifier installations is a Current Sensing Relay. This relay allows you to quickly set up the humidifier to run only when the furnace blower is running. This eliminates the need for a sail switch or more complex wiring. The relay attaches around the white common/neutral lead of your furnace blower motor. When the blower comes on it senses there is current and turns your humidifier on by using the low voltage wiring. The A50 acts like a light switch. When it senses the current from the blower motor it allows low voltage current to flow through its two wires. It is easy to install and comes with complete wiring directions and instructions.
